Shipping policy
For standard ground shipping, we use USPS or UPS with the best rate/time in transit when your order is made. We ship standard ground orders via whichever choice we feel is the most economical option. The majority of our goods ship USPS.
For in-stock items, please allow 2-3 business days for production and or order picking and packaging. (Do not include weekends or holidays.) If you have a deadline you need to make for a special occasion, please email us at: sherri@bourboncowgirl.com so we can select the best delivery method for your needs.
We offer free shipping for orders over $250 excluding oversized heavyweight products such as cowboy hats, coats, boots. These oversized items cost more for us to ship and often need to ship separately from other products within your order. Therefore we set a reduced flat rate shipping fee for oversized and heavy items. The product page itself will notify you if there is a flat rate shipping fee associated with that product.
Occasionally your particular size is not in our local store and needs to be retrieved from one of our remote warehouses (all within the US...we are NOT sourcing from overseas!) and therefore we need a few extra days to pull the item and ship to you. We appreciate your patience and the fact that you have chosen to support a USA, Woman-Owned Small Business. We will always be available to discuss your needs and timeline on any order in which you have a more urgent need.
For our custom cowgirl hats (torched/burned hats) we make these to order. Please allow 1 week for production. (Time in transit during shipping is not calculated in the production time.)
Cowgirl hats have a flat rate for shipping. The box is large, bulky and heavy, causing the shipping to be more expensive. Currently the shipping fee for cowgirl hats is $22.
Cowgirl boots are heavy and the shipping box is large and bulky. We try to help with the shipping cost and therefore charge a flat rate of $16 for full size boots and $12 for short booties.
Please note that we package our products to arrive safely to your destination. We do not gift package or gift wrap the items and we will use our discretion (re: packaging material and boxes) in packaging your order to minimize the chances of breakage or damage. We have been shipping for 20 years. We have tried and true packaging materials and methods to offer the best chance of your product arriving safely to your destination.
If you are shipping your order directly to a gift recipient, you do not need to worry that a receipt will be placed inside the box. We do not insert anything inside the box that would give away the amount you paid for your gift. Your receipt is emailed to you during checkout. We will never insert it inside your package.
Shirts, totes, basic apparel, decals will arrive in a plastic bubble mailer or durable plastic mailer. Other products will ship in an appropriately sized box.

What if my product is damaged in transit?
Please consider purchasing Route protection for your packages, especially fragile or more expensive products. Route claims are easy and reliable. If you receive a shipment that is damaged or a no-show, reach out to Route directly to file your claim. Begin here: https://claims.route.com
If you did not purchase the Route protection: (We highly recommend Route protection!)
Replacement will be given for any product received with a manufacturer defect. Photos will be required. Please notify us at: sherri@bourboncowgirl.com within 2 days of receipt of your product to request the refund or replacement. If your product arrived with damage due to poor handling by UPS or USPS, and you opted out of our Route Package Insurance, you will need to provide your tracking number to USPS or UPS and file a claim yourself. Once claim is filed, it could take a few days for USPS or UPS to respond. (*To avoid waiting out this process with shipping agents or taking a risk that they will refuse your claim, we highly recommend purchasing the ROUTE protection. This is a painless and quick resolution to ensure you get your refund or replacement quickly.) Bourbon Cowgirl offers Route to protect customers as well as our company. If you unclick the Route Protection option (opt out) of our provided insurance program, Bourbon Cowgirl will not send a replacement product free of charge. We can not afford to pay out of pocket for damages incurred by shipping handlers. So please consider keeping the Route protection in place to ensure you don't have a loss if your product is damaged in transit.
